Tomorrow is the Summer Solstice, which is when the sun appears to “stand still” at the highest point in the sky. It will be the longest day – almost 15 hours of natural daylight – and shortest night of the whole year, and it’s an event that is celebrated in many cultures.

Longest day, shortest night.

Soak it up – an abundance of Light.

Barefoot walking along a beach.

Gazing high through treetops out of reach.

Relax, chill out, replenish our energy –

Spend time with Mother Earth for company.

Take a nap in a field of wildflowers.

Skip stones by a burbling creek.

Explore trails in a deep forest.

Open hands so that heart can speak.

Carpe diem: Seize the day!

Celebrate now, have fun and play.

Rise at dawn, watch the sun set –

Cherish every breath, moment and being well met.

I’d love to hear how you celebrate the solstice. Click here to share your story with me.
